Arctic Services Ltd are searching for a pipe fitter to join our installations team to run and fit copper pipe, braze pipework and fit lagging suitable for refrigeration & HVAC systems. We would also require you to run drain from evaporator units in copper or PVC, depending on the project. It would be a bonus if you have refrigeration experience, however is not necessary.

We would also like you to assist the team to carry out essential maintenance to refrigeration equipment between installation projects.

About the job

In this key role within our installations team you will be running pipework for refrigeration and HVAC system installations and on ocassions making adaptions to existing system pipework where required. This includes copper & PVC drain.

We do not require you to carry out refrigeration engineering works, such as comissioning systems or fault finding, however it would be a bonus if you have FGAS and can work on commercial & industrial refrigeration systems.

The maintenance side of the role would include service & maintainence of commercial refrigeration systems such as cold rooms and integral units, in line with our high standards and health and safety regulations. We would give you full training on our maintenance procedure and send you out with an engineer until you are comfortable on your own. 

As a representative of the company, you will be responsible for offering a comprehensive and efficient service to our customers. A flexible and proactive approach are essential for this role.

  • Running copper & PVC pipe work
  • Brazing
  • Servicing & maintenance of refrigeration and HVAC equipment
  • Able to travel to our head office in Waltham Abbey, near M25
  • Good technical skills and knowledge of refrigeration systems within the commercial sector

Qualifications / Experience

  • City and Guilds certificates in plumbing, pipework fabrication or refrigeration systems.
  • F-Gas qualified would be a bonus, however is not required.
  • Full UK driving license clean 

Experience in any or all of the following would be an advantage:

Installation, service or maintenance on a wide variety of commercial refrigeration such as cold rooms, cellar cooling, ice machines, fridges and freezers.

Schedule

47.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday, with a 60 minute unpaid lunch break each day.

Start and finish times are variable and agreed with the service manager weekly.

You may be required to work weekends as we offer a 24/7 emergency call out to our customers, if you are placed on call you will receive a standby rate.

Permanent Position - Salary dependent on experience + Overtime + Standby Rate + Company Vehicle + Pension.
