Monday - Friday Days - 7am - 3pm (flexibility) 

The Company:

The business are a globally recognised food manufacturer and one of the biggest employees in west Brom with over 500 employees and are partnered with some of the most iconic brands in the UK. They have an exceptional reputation with the industry and operate out of a fully automated state of the art plant and are now looking for a mechanically biased maintenance engineer to work days. 

As a mechanical maintenance engineer some of the machines you will be working on include but not limited to: Ovens, fryers, conveyors, packaging machines, robots, slicers, provers, metal detectors and other bespoke machinery. For this role it would be preferable to have some fabricating/welding experience and experience working with lathes/millers.

Experience required for the role as a mechanical maintenance engineer

  • At least 5 year’s experience working as a mechanically biased maintenance engineer
  • Exp. with belts, chains, conveyors, pulleys, straps, gearboxes etc 
  • Ability to weld - at least mig and Tig would be massively advantageous
  • Worked with Lathes/Millers
  • experience working in a manufacturing environment
