Our client has an array of Quarries, Surfacing, Readymix and Precast plants, which supply a wide range of heavy building materials to the construction industry. In order to supply these materials, the fixed plant within our clients’ quarries require regular maintenance. They are seeking an enthusiastic Mobile Plant Fitter to join their Northern Ireland team.

You will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance of Quarry/Construction plant, attending machine breakdowns and carrying out repairs efficiently, to ensure minimum down time, troubleshooting and fault-finding defects on machinery and carrying out repairs as necessary, ensuring adequate supply of essential parts and ordering of parts when required, updating records and maintenance logs, ensuring compliance with the Company’s policies; including Health & Safety and observing and complying with all good working practices within the company.  Fabricating work may also be required.

To qualify, you will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Mobile Plant Machinery, knowledge of auto-electrics, engines, transmission, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems, be able to work on your own and as part of a team demonstrating a good work ethic, have a good understanding of IT and Health & Safety and have a full UK Driving Licence.  It’s also desirable that you have HGV Licence (not essential)
