Position: CNC Turner

Location: Coylton, Ayr

Type: Full-time |Perm |Contract

Pay: £18 - £23.40 (Shift Premium - 30% when working on backshift only)

Compensation: Benefits package included with pension contribution. Holiday entitlement - 30 days holidays with 7 days held back for Christmas shutdown.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC lathes and other turning equipment to manufacture precision components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Set up machines, select appropriate tools, and monitor production processes.
• Ensure quality standards are met through continuous inspection and testing.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to improve processes and resolve technical issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with company and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner or Vertical Borer in an engineering or aerospace context.
• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine setup.
• Doosan and Fanuc controls experience is advantageous.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Shift Pattern:

Hours of Work - 39 Hour working week working on a 2-week dayshift/2-week backshift rotation with a basic pay rate based on experience but starting at £18.00 per hour.

Dayshift - Monday to Thursday 6am to 2:30pm, Friday 6am to 1:30pm. Backshift - Monday to Wednesday 2:30pm to 1:00am, Thursday 2:30pm to 12 midnight

Additional:

Overtime working – Will be paid at + 50% Monday to Saturday, double time on Sunday.
