P6 Planning Engineer - Hybrid

Role: P6 Planning Engineer
Location: Mid Wales / North Wales (to support a project near Porthmadog, Wales) (Hybrid - Travel in work time and expensed)
Duration: 6 Months
We are looking for a Planning Engineer to work on a major electricity transmission project near Porthmadog. This project is scheduled to run until 2029.
The Planning Engineer will be required to;
- Monitor contractor performance against agreed baselines
- Evaluate monthly contractor programme submissions and provide appropriate recommendations
- Propose and develop mitigation and recovery strategies
- Review compensation event submissions including impacted programmes
- Progress client owned activities, such as land and consenting requirements
The Planning Engineer will also be required to maintain a regular presence on site to work with both internal and external stakeholders (required to be on site for 3 days per week on average).
About you
You will be a Planning Engineer with significant construction industry experience (electricity transmission industry experience would be beneficial, but not essential).
Significant experience of using Primavera P6 planning software.
Experience of using NEC forms of contract, including programme clauses, early warnings, compensation events etc.
Experience of using Earned Value management
Full Driving License
