Full-time, permanent

We are working with an education provider in the North Wales area who are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Assessor to join them on a full-time and permanent basis, starting as soon as possible.

The role will involve you being part of the work based learning team and travelling to workplaces in the North Wales area in order to assess Mechanical Engineering apprentices on their hands-on vocational skills, with a focus on machining and CNC operation. The role would allow you to manage your own diary, and business mileage would be paid. You would have a small caseload of 8 learners to begin with, which would increase as the role goes on.

The starting salary for this position is between £30,908 and £34,832 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience), and the package would also include a local government pension (with employer contributions of 6.5%), 45p per mile business mileage allowance, and 41 days holiday (inclusive of Christmas closure days and Bank Holidays). You would also have the opportunity to get some additional discretionary annual leave over the summer period. The education provider also offer things like an on-site nursery, and access to excellent sports and fitness facilities.

To be eligible for the position, you MUST have:
-A level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification
-Knowledge and experience of machining and CNC operation

Please note that the education provider would be able to put you through an Assessor award on the job if you do not already have one.

I am looking to set up interviews as soon as possible, so if you are interested and available for interview, please reply with your CV and daytime contact number and I'll get back to you, or you can always call me on (phone number removed).

Please feel free to pass on my details if you know someone who might be interested.
